10 DAYS SAFARI & ZANZIBAR

Our guide will pick you up from the Kilimanjaro international airport to Arusha. Once at Arusha you will be taken to your preferred hotel and be briefed on your safari.  

After early breakfast we will cross the Maasai Steppe on our way to Tarangire National Park. Tanzania’s fourth largest and one of its most diverse parks. Its landscape is dotted by the iconic huge tree baobab. Elephants, Buffalos and Giraffes are seen easily, unbothered by our presence and going about their daily routines. Its abundance of wildlife also includes, Lions, Leopards, Oryx, Dik diks, and a wide range of birds species. Even its possible to spot huge pythons on top of the trees. We’ll meander along bush tracks and explore the Tarangire River’s twists and turns, finding elephant drinking and playing in the refreshing waters. Late this afternoon we’ll arrive at Manyara Sunbright Lodge or Wild Palm Campsite where you can settle in and relax before dinner and your first night in the bush.

Early morning game drive is worthy taking if you wish and then we will drive to lake manyara for mid morning to sunset game drives. Lake Manyara is a small beautiful national park famous for the legendary tree climbing lions and many other large and small mammals. Driving through the lush garden is a gentle reminder that you are now in Africa. Exotic birdcalls fill the air. Lunch can be served at the numerous picnic sites in the park or if you wish you may go for hot lunch at the lodge before returning for game drives in the afternoon. Zebras, Wildebeests, Bushbucks, Dik-diks and Guinea fowls regularly cross your path for your delight. We’ll meander along bush tracks and explore the Lake which is home of thousand of Flamingos. More game drive at sunset before heading to accommodation for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast during sunrise, we will depart to the iconic Serengeti National Park. During our way we will cross Ngorongoro Crater and make a stop to enjoy the views of the huge caldera. Serengeti means endless plain in Maasai language. A well-known paradise for wildlife, quite bigger than Jamaica and famous for great migrations and its huge natural diversity. Serengeti has the highest concentration of large predators in the world. Your first game safari in Serengeti will not let you down as you will not have problems to spot Lions!

Be one of the few fortunate people to glide in a Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at supplementary cost by pre-arrangement). Floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous small villages. After breakfast at the lodge, we will depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area. We will stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Louis and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution. We will arrive in time for lunch at the lodge and after lunch we will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife for a half day safari tour. This volcanic crater is one of the largest caldera in the world and is said to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa, so you can admire many animal species together. That’s the reason why it’s one of the only places on earth where you may see all of the Big Five at once: Lion, Leopard, Elephant, African Buffalo and Black Rhino.

Rise early for breakfast before we spend a fully day exploring the crater floor. This volcanic crater is one of the largest caldera in the world. Ngorongoro is said to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa, so you can admire many animal species together. That’s the reason why it’s one of the only places on earth where you may see all of the Big Five at once: Lion, Leopard, Elephant, African Buffalo and Black Rhino. To maximize your time on the crater floor you will enjoy a special boxed lunch at a scenic picnic spot. In the afternoon we will drive to Arusha and taking the plane to Zanzibar

After this first relaxing day in Zanzibar enjoying its bright sun and its crystalline waters, you will be able to add your choice of activities.
