Tour Details

Whether you’re a seasoned photography buff with the very best lenses and gadgets, or a casual phone photographer, you’ll most likely wish to capture every memorable moment of your safari to look back on for years to come.

When it comes to capturing jaw-dropping photos of animals, having a good guide who is able to predict the movements and behaviours of the wildlife goes a long way to ensuring you’re poised and ready to snap whatever happens next.

Other tips to help you capture that epic shot include making sure that your hand and camera are steady – most safari vehicles are equipped with sandbags to help, as well as charging points to make sure your batteries never die at the crucial moment.

Nick Wild Nature has introduced an innovative, specially equipped photographic vehicle that provides photographers with the optimal setup to grab that award-winning shot.

Itinerary

Day 1ARRIVAL IN TANZANIA VIA KILIMANJARO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - KIA (JRO)

Our guide will pick you up from the Kilimanjaro international airport to Arusha. Once at Arusha you will be taken to your preferred hotel and be briefed on your safari.

Day 2GAME DRIVE TO TARANGIRE NATIOANAL PARK

After early breakfast in the morning, it’s time to depart Arusha and drive towards Tarangire National Park, which is one of Northern Tanzania’s circuits. It’s home to huge herds of elephants, wildebeest, zebra, and giraffes, as well as buffalo and over 550 bird species. Witness the largest bird in the world – ostrich then we will continue to the lodge near Ngorongoro crater for dinner and overnight.

Day 3NGORONGORO CRATER

Following the next day, we will have an early breakfast, then we will drive to the rim of Ngorongoro crater, a UNESCO world heritage site that’s renowned for its natural beauty. Descend into the crater to explore what’s been referred to as “African’s garden of Eden”. With around 25,000 wildlife species and myriad birdlife calling the crater “home”. The towering walls of this volcanic caldera act as a natural enclosure for zebra, buffalo, antelopes, and wildebeest, as well as black rhinos that can be seen inhabiting the dense forest and sprawling grasslands.

Day 4 & 5CENTRAL SERENGETI

In the next two days, we will spend them exploring the Serengeti  National park, one of East Africa’s most iconic wildlife-viewing destinations. As you enter the park, keep your eyes peeled for the herds of wildebeest and zebras on their annual migration, together with large numbers of gazelles, giraffes, and opportunistic predators following in their wake. We will overnight at one of the tented camps.

Day 6NORTH SERENGETI, MARA RIVER KOGATENDE

Begin the next day with the game drive through the central Serengeti before heading north to the mighty Mara river where the herds congregate in late August. Watch as large numbers of wildebeest and zebras gather on the banks before making the precarious crossing (in the hope of eluding the resident crocodiles) in what’s referred to as the “World Cup of Wildlife”.

Day 7 & 8MARA RIVER SERENGETI

We will spend two full days exploring the Kogatende area to spot some of the more than one million wildebeest, 200,000 Burchell’s zebra and 500,000 Thomson’s gazelle found in the region. Our knowledgeable guide will take you to where the wildlife action is while pointing out species you might otherwise overlook.

Day 9ARUSHA/KILIMANJARO AIRPORT (JRO)

After breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport to continue your holidays at Zanzibar or your flight back home
