Ngorongoro Conservation Area is in northern Tanzania. It’s home to the vast, volcanic Ngorongoro Crater and “big 5” game (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino). Huge herds of wildebeests and zebras traverse its plains during their annual migration. Livestock belonging to the semi-nomadic Maasai tribe graze alongside wild animals. Hominin fossils found in the Olduvai Gorge date back millions of years

Our guide will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to Arusha. Safari briefing and relax for your safari starting next day.
Starting from Arusha town, we will cycle first route heading west towards the Monduli mountain range. Open farmland leads us past the foothills of the mountains. The earth here is known as ‘Black cotton’ and is very prone to erosion. We will go through various small valleys and Masai homesteads as we traverse the foothills. We will be carrying a packed lunch to re-energize at a convenient point on the way. Our end point for day 1cycling will be at Meserani Snake Park. Home to lots of reptiles, like the most dangerous snakes in the world and huge cocrodiles. We will load our bicycles in the escort car and we will drive up to Makuyuni going forth to Mto Wa Mbu village.
Departing from the campsite /lodge we will cycle around Mto wa Mbu village and the famous Lake Manyara National Park. We will cycle close to the southern shores of Lake Manyara and we will be likely to spot some Zebras, Giraffes and Wildebeests here. The Rift Valley wall is in sight all day as we cycle through a number of Maasai homesteads. Possible sightings of wildlife as we cross over the open plains. We will have our packed lunch under an acacia tree during the heat of the day before cycling on and arriving into our lodge late afternoon.
This peculiar soda lake located at the base of the active Ol Donyo Lengai volcano is the world most important breeding site for Lesser Flamingos. In this unique landscape you will have the opportunity to do a full day excursion. After lunch, trekking to Engaresero waterfalls and then an authentic Maasai evening BBQ. A goat/sheep is slaughtered traditionally by a group of Maasai warriors and while meat is barbecued warriors will perform a 40-60mins traditional dance and you are invited to join them. After the dance, your dinner will be served.
Off our bikes and into four-wheel drive vehicles, we will explore the natural wildlife sanctuary of the Serengeti; the wildlife here is truly captivating. This will be a unique experience in your life. After breakfast we will take our way to Serengeti national park heading in a northwesterly direction. Head up the winding road crossing the Ngorongoro Highlands towards Serengeti national park (endless plain in Maasai language) for evening/sunset game drive before.
This morning you will be awaken by the sweet sounds of african birds’ singing. From the comfort of your tents you will smell the luscious scents of hot tea and fresh coffee beckoning you to greet the dawn; the majesty of the Serengeti waits! While you sit comfortably on your camp, sipping hot drinks and watching the day break, you may even spot Giraffes or Zebras grazing in the distance. After breakfast you will begin your search to discover fascinating animal behavior in the park. Later this morning we will continue our wildlife viewing for the rest of the day, stopping to enjoy a picnic lunch at your leisure. Upon your return to camp this afternoon you can relax in the tranquility of your room as you reflect on today’s activities; your exploration of the heart of the park has been both didactic and adventurous. Few travelers ever have the privilege of seeing, ‘the world as it was at the beginning’. Retire to your camp after a full and satisfying day.
Sunrise game drive from 06:30am till 12:00pm. Then, lunch before we depart for the Ngorongoro Crater with game drive en-route. We will stop At Olduvai Gorge, cradle of mankind where paleontologists and anthropologists have found hundreds of fossilized bones and stone tools dating back millions of years. We will enjoy the gorge landscape and visit the small museum to view some of the incredible finds of Drs. Louis and Mary Leakey.
Rise early for breakfast before we spend a fully day exploring the crater floor. This volcanic crater is one of the largest caldera in the world. Ngorongoro is said to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa, so you can admire many animal species together. That’s the reason why it’s one of the only places on earth where you may see all of the Big Five at once: Lion, Leopard, Elephant, African Buffalo and Black Rhino. To maximize your time on the crater floor we will enjoy a special boxed lunch at a scenic picnic spot. In the afternoon we will drive to Arusha.
After breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport to continue your holidays at Zanzibar or your flight back home.
